Project 365, Day #306

Hello,

I hope you are having a nice Saturday.  I spent the day in the studio.  I cleaned for a little first and then started working on a clutch.  It is the same style as the one I shared on day #292.  You can see that one here.  I have been testing the design by using the clutch everyday.  I tweaked the pattern a little bit.  I just needed to adjust the length of the flap, to accommodate all the stuff you can fit in the bag.  I also added a handle that tucks into the bag, so it is always there if you need it.  I like to carry the clutch as a handheld but found it's nice to have a handle, if nothing else to use when you are in the ladies room.  It's nice to be able to hang the bag on the hook.   I think the pattern works great now.  It's just adjusting the interior hidden layers to add strength.  I have multiple interfacing layers and it just depends on what fabric I use as the outer fabric.  I have to go through a few tests of that as well to get it just right.  Sometimes it's hard to accept those samples that just aren't right, because so much time has gone into them.

Well I am really tired from standing most of the day.  I still have another bag I want to cut out and work on, but I thought I should get my butterfly done before I am really tired.  Here is butterfly #306.

I did them same really free quick sketch as yesterday.  I did one big one but just wanted to play with some little ones around it.  These sketches are so fun to do and and relatively quick.  I feel like I just want to keep drawing them.  So, four butterflies for tonight.

That's all for me tonight.  We are going to go out and get some German food dinner, yum.  Have a great evening and thanks for stopping by!

Take care,
Kelly
