I hope you had a good weekend. Today we did some much needed yard work. The weeds were a little to tall. We also ripped off the shrubs that grow over our side wall. That wall faces a city street and we get notices from the city to trim them back because they hang to low. I don't know what kind of shrubs they are but they intertwine like vines and get very thick. It is a lot of work just to trim them. We do plan on getting the yard landscaped, so we just decided to rip them off. It was a lot of work and my arms are all scraped up, but I am so glad it's done.
I also got to work in the studio a bit. I finished some of the things I was working on for convention. I don't know if I mentioned that yet but I am going to the Stampin' Up! convention on Wednesday. I usually make something (sewing wise), especially since they had fabric. Of course in the new catalog we don't have any fabric, but that's ok. I also make swap cards and exchange them with other demonstrators. I wasn't going to make any this year but I decided to make a few still.
After all of that, I decided to draw my butterfly tonight. Here is butterfly #195.
I drew with a pencil tonight and just outlined with a fine tip sharpie. I needed a change of pace from the king size sharpie. I do like the way this one turned out and I like the lines in this one. Here are the items I finished for convention.
I used a orange faux/vegan suede for the clutch and flip wallet. All the trims are from Stampin' Up!. Although I didn't take a picture of the inside, the inside fabric of the clutch is also from Stampin' Up! They are nice summer colors.
That's all for me. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day tomorrow.
